Human or Machine? The Challenges and Opportunities of Artificial Intelligence
Our November exhibition focuses on artificial intelligence (AI), one of today’s most exciting and complex fields. The development and impact of AI have captivated the world for decades: its potential is astounding, but it also raises significant ethical and practical challenges. How might artificial intelligence shape our future? What role does it play in everyday life, and what risks arise if it’s used for inappropriate purposes? This technology now not only attracts scientists and engineers but also inspires filmmakers and sci-fi writers, who envision bold, often unsettling futures involving artificial minds and our world’s trajectory. But where is the line between fiction and reality? When can we truly speak of intelligent machines, and what does it mean for an artificial system to be considered "intelligent"?
Our exhibition aims to explore these intriguing questions through books, giving visitors the opportunity to understand various aspects of AI. The exhibit provides a comprehensive view, from theoretical foundations to practical applications, from ethical dilemmas to societal impacts. With a wide selection of books displayed in cases, we showcase the history of artificial intelligence, its development, current uses, and future possibilities. Our goal is for visitors to gain a closer understanding of how AI works and its effects on our daily lives. The exhibit helps us to gain a deeper insight into what makes a machine "intelligent" and how artificial intelligence might shape our everyday lives and future.
