Paperpal is an AI-powered writing assistance tool specifically designed for writing and editingscientific texts.


The University of Pécs introduces the service to support its researchers, teachers and PhD students in producing high-quality scientific publications in English as well as to speed up and simplify the publication process.


What can Paperpal Prime do for you?

  • • Language and grammar correction: It instantly corrects spelling mistakes, punctuation problems, vocabulary errors and complex grammatical mistakes, making the text clearer and more convincing.
  • • Paraphrasing and condensing: Helps you to paraphrase the text, to find the right scientific tone and to reduce the length of the text without compromising the content.
  • • Translation: It can translate into more than 25 languages while retaining formulas, terminology and expressions in foreign languages.
  • • Plagiarism check: It has a reliable plagiarism checker that searches billions of websites, dissertations and scientific articles for matches.
  • • AI-based writing assistance: Helps you brainstorm, generate outlines, abstracts, summaries, counterexamples and examples or study highlights with a single click.
  • • Citation management: Offers citations from more than 250 million scientific articles, which can be directly inserted into the manuscript.
  • • Consistency checking: Can automatically detect and correct inconsistencies in the text (e.g. p-values, symbols, graphs).
